Maxence Petit is a French entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of experience in the ageing sector. A graduate of ISG Business School, he started his career in private equity before co-founding Sonalto, a company that made hearing care more accessible for older adults. After Sonalto was acquired in 2018, he turned his focus to housing.
In 2019, Maxence founded Cosima, a coliving model specifically designed for older adults experiencing a loss of autonomy. Cosima creates small-scale, shared apartments where residents live together, supported by 24/7 care teams. Neither institutional like a nursing home, nor isolating like ageing at home, Cosima offers a middle way—based on community, dignity, and everyday life.
Through Cosima, Maxence brings the principles of coliving—mutual support, shared space, human connection—into the field of senior care, challenging how we think about ageing and dependency.
