About speaker

Weronika is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Leiden University. Her involvement in the coliving space has deepened her existing interest in social dynamics, human behaviour, and the role of community in shaping wellbeing.

She is particularly interested in how relationships, social connection, belonging, and the environments we inhabit influence how people feel, behave, and function in everyday life. Her experience in coliving has strengthened her conviction that the communities we build around us can meaningfully shape how we connect and thrive, and that shared living can respond to fundamental human needs in ways that conventional forms of housing often do not.

For Weronika, this is what makes the spirit of shared living so hopeful. At a time when many people experience increasing isolation and disconnection, she sees community as a foundation for both individual wellbeing and a healthier society. She is especially interested in the healing potential of connection, and in how intentional environments and ways of living can create the conditions for people to feel supported, connected, and genuinely at home.

Through her academic and professional work, Weronika brings perspectives from psychology and community research into the conversation around shared living. She is interested in how environments can encourage meaningful interaction, foster relationships, and create opportunities for people to develop a genuine sense of belonging rather than simply share a physical space.

Alongside her studies, Weronika is an Academic Stakeholders Coordinator at Coliving Ventures, where she works at the intersection of academia and the evolving coliving sector. In this role, she connects academic perspectives with industry practice and facilitates dialogue between researchers, professionals, and other stakeholders exploring the future of shared living.

Weronika has been part of the Coliving Awards team since 2022 and contributed to the formation of the first Coliving Conference in 2023. Over time, her involvement in the sector has deepened her interest in the relationship between psychology, community, environment, and wellbeing, and in exploring how the places we live can contribute to more connected and meaningful ways of living together.
