Assael is an award-winning design practice delivering architecture, interior design and landscape architecture for residential-led mixed-use developments, with a particular focus on coliving, Build to Rent and urban regeneration.

Assael specialises in unlocking complex urban sites and transforming them into vibrant, sustainable communities. Its collaborative, research-led approach brings together placemaking, operational insight and a strong understanding of the resident experience to shape places that work in use as well as in design.

A recognised leader in the coliving sector, Assael has been researching, designing and delivering coliving schemes since 2018, as well as contributing to industry-leading publications including the Urban Land Institute and JLL’s European Co-living Best Practice Guide and Conscious Coliving’s ‘Why Coliving?’ campaign. This work has supported the delivery of over 2,000 coliving homes across London and the UK, including multiple operational schemes.

Recent projects include Folk @ Sunday Mills in Wandsworth, winner of a 2024 RIBA London Award, Folk @ Florence Dock and other coliving communities helping to shape the future of urban living.
